For the most part, I agree with you. In PvE, certainly. You are more useful to your party and much more mobile as a N/P mm than a N/D mm. You might consider submitting this build to pvxwiki.com, if you've a mind to share it with the world.
I have to say though, an Aura of the Lich N/D minion master in AB is nigh indestructible, unless someone thinks to bring Gaze of Contempt. A guildie and I ran a dual mm group with tank and monk using that build, and we just mowed everything down. We also tried a few times with her running the N/P build and me running the N/D build to do most of the minion-healing. We were not as successful at both staying alive in that configuration, however.
Anyhow, I definitely prefer the N/P build to the tired old N/Mo builds for PvE use. The only thing that makes me nervous about it is the lack of hard res, since my self-preservation instincts are generally much better than my hero/hench team. Ah well, I suppose I could sacrifice a slot for Signet of Return if I really got desperate.
